Elaina - Washington, DC Senior Portraits

It's no secret I'll find any excuse to get on a plane and go somewhere, so when Elaina's mom asked if I'd be willing to go to Baltimore for Elaina's senior portraits, I didn't hesitate and immediately went looking for plane tickets. Joshy and I had been wanting to go to Washington, DC for sometime, so it was a perfect opportunity for us to get a little vacation in before the busy season really began. We flew into Baltimore bright and early on a Friday and spent the day with Elaina and Beth (her mom, and my mama's first cousin), with the intentions of doing Elaina's session that evening. The yucky weather changed that plan; and instead of Baltimore, we decided to do her senior portrait session in the heart of Washington, DC. The city is beautiful in the springtime, and I couldn't have picked a more awesome location than Lincoln Memorial and National Mall. And Elaina? Gorgeous. She was a dream in front of my camera. Here are a handful of my favorites.

Chase - Shelbyville Family Session

Chase is the mastermind behind my branding. He did the design work for my logo and website, and is always gracious enough to step in and fix things when I inevitably screw something up. He's super busy with his music, but we made time for a family session earlier this spring. Although the rain this season has made things quite inconvenient at times, it certainly makes that grass green.

Flat Creek Engagements - Tim & Anne

It was a beautiful day in May for Tim and Anne's engagement session. We were out in Flat Creek on the historic Farrar family farm, complete with baby calves and all. The old yellow house was a little creaky and crooked here and there, but considering it's been standing since 1848, I'd like to think it's in pretty good shape. Tim and Anne's wedding is next in my calendar, and I know she is going to be one stunning bride.

And last, but certainly not least...a photo of Tim's farmer father David. I'm not sure what tale he was telling....

The Schwartz Family

Today I wanted to share photos of this sweet family of four. I love getting these sweet twins in front of my camera, but this was the first time all 4 of the Schwartz family members joined in for a quick photo shoot. We met up on a beautiful, cloudless day right as the sun was going down for a session in front of a red barn. Mattie & Sophie turned 3 this year...don't you just love their sense of style?
